WiLDCOAST said no to proposed peaker plant in Otay Valley Regional Park

WiLDCOAST and local environmentalist say "NO" to proposed peaker plant construction in the Otay Valley Regional Park.

NOW YOU SEE IT, THEN YOU WILL NOT: Proposed site for additional peaker plant sits directly below Otay Lakes Park. Construction on this site will completely block the view of the Otay Valley Regional Park.

  1. 80 foot smoke stacks. 100 feet around the fence void of vegetation because of fire laws. The monster will sit right where the trails of Sweetwater and Jamul trails join with the Otay River trails. This has to be stopped.

  2. Yes and what gets me fired up is that the land there is zoned for "Park Refuge", and 'they' plan to zone around the power "Monster" to justify legally it being there. What message does this send to our children?
